Hi from Damian and thanks for visiting the Mediterranean Services blog.
Let me give you some background about me and why I have set up Mediterranean Services.
I am originally from Liverpool in the Uk and have been living in the South of France since 1988 when I came down to Nice join my French girlfriend and work in Monaco for an accountancy firm specialising in International Tax advice.
Since then I have worked in a variety of sectors ranging from Corporate Finance to the management of bars and restaurants. During this time I have built up a great number of friends and colleagues from many different disciplines and Countries. I am therefore fortunate that if I need anything at all I generally know someone who can either help or knows someone who can.
Not everyone is that frotunate. More and more non French speaking people are moving to the South of France every year either full time or as a secondary residence and I am sure all of them have at least one horror story to tell about dealing with the French adminitrative services or Estate Agents or even getting the telephone and internet installed.
Obviously there is a language barrier of different degrees for each person but it is more than that. They just do things differently in the South of France! (I can’t say for the rest of the country but would be interested to hear!)
Mediterranean Services is here to try to assist anyone looking for anything at all on the French Riviera and surrounding areas.
We represent a small group of people in a wide range of businesses who have all been on the Côte d’Azur for over 10 years and believe that we can offer the kind of service that is rarely seen down here.
